select only even/odd pages

Add a step option to page ranges. I suggest analog to the common notation start:step:stop to use start-step-stop.

ah, apologies for letting this slip my mind. Yes, feel free to submit a pull request. Unless it completely screws everything up, I'll probably accept it. Or at least I'll try to help to get it into a mergeable shape.
