The plugin google_map_location_picker
uses a deprecated version of the Android embedding.
#174
Comments
google_map_location_picker
uses a deprecated version of the Android embedding. To avoid unexpected runtime failures, or future build failures, try to see if this plugin supports the Android V2 embedding. Otherwise, consider removing it since a future release of Flutter will remove these deprecated APIs. If you are plugin author, take a look at the docs for migrating the plugin to the V2 embedding: https://flutter.dev/go/android-plugin-migration.google_map_location_picker
uses a deprecated version of the Android embedding.
I have the same issue.... absolutely unable to upgrade Google Maps Location Picker to the latest version because it forces usage of an old version of Provider which conflicts with the Bloc plugin. Nothing drives me more batty than plugins which are not updated regularly to match all the rest. No one wants to deal with package conflicts. Please fix your latest version so it is compatible with the latest packages!!!! |
Hey, know that you can always use dependency_overrides to still use this package |
Not ideal… it means downgrading other packages to support this one and because of recent inprovements for M1 and bull safety causes XCode errors. This is the only plug-in still causing issues since the major updates early this summer. It would be best if the developer could resolve these so the package is in-line with the most recent major updates.

Same issue. |
I've upgraded the plugin in my own repo, upgraded to null safety, latest version of provider and migrating to new Android Embedding.
