what about adding a badge mechansim based on the IndieMark? Some kind of a filter that enables plugins/themes to raise the IndieMark level by a defined value?

That's an interesting idea. @aaronjorbin did a little proof of concept to create a score. It's a little node app, but the logic could easily be applied to any language.
