In gnome, the firefox PIP window is locked to the aspect ratio of the video being played. in instantWM you can scale the window so it has black bars around it. could this be changed to replicate gnome's behavior?

You can keep a windows aspect ratio by holding super + shift and resizing with right click.

Could this behavior be made default? I feel like it would be ideal.

This would have to be fixed by Mozilla either by requesting to keep the aspect ratio (I think it used to actually do that but doesn't anymore) or by giving the pip windows their own class name
