'Optional' text to catalog Map

@lukecampbell: Can you change the text on the map where it says, "Filter by variable...." and add "Optional," so users don't think you need to know all that info to see what is out there? I tried it and you can just leave them blank and everything is returned but originally I thought I needed all that info to extract anything.
