In this talk, it was demo'ed that Cilium+eBPF+Envoy can decouple service level fault injection from the application seamlessly. The talk had been three years, and has the area of chaos testing been explored more since then?
We have a lot of use cases to leverage fault injection to help improve reliability in our micro service architecture. I tried to replicate the demo to see how our infrastructure can adapt it, but ran into some issues.
As eBPF/Cilium framework often highlights networking, observability, and security tooling, chaos testing has not been discussed a lot. As technologies involve, I am curious if any projects or use cases have been developed in this realm.
