Videos missing from subscription feed #37
Comments
This is because there are quite a few new subscriptions being added, so it's taking longer to update. Should be a pretty simple fix when I have a minute. |
I have the same problem too. But in my case, missing videos are usually present on the channel feed (invidio.us/channel/). |
Thought I'd update you all on the current status. To keep up with serving notifications, Invidious will only pull the latest 15 videos from a channel, and deliver those to users' feeds if they haven't already received them. This is much faster, but if a channel uploads more than 15 videos until the channel is updated again, then Invidious will not catch those missing videos, and it will also not delete videos that have been deleted from YouTube. For new channels that are added, it will not pull all their videos. This is just for delivering notifications and updating user feeds, everything else on the site works properly and has not changed. I'm still working on a more permanent fix. |
Thanks for the update. How frequently does Invidious check for new videos? |
Looks like it updates ~3800 channels about every 15 minutes. |
I think I'll close this. Currently Invidious is able to pull down all recent videos fairly quickly, which appears to be the original issue. |
Recent videos seem to be missing from the subscriptions feed in Invidious, while they are present on Youtube's subscription feed.
