Fixes for XinaA15

XinaA15 is a jailbreak that is in public beta and is still in-development. Due to this, there will be many issues that you'll encounter and may want to fix. If you encounter any of the issues below, try using the fixes listed.

If the fixes do not work, ask for support in the XinaA15 Support Server or report issues to the GitHub Issues.

What tweaks are compatible with XinaA15?

There aren't many tweaks that are compatible with iOS 15 or rootless jailbreaks (like XinaA15), however there is a tweak compatibility list that is made by the Xina Community.

Why are my tweaks not working or taking effect?

This is either a case of an incompatible tweak or you haven't respringed your device yet.

  • Respring: Open XinaA15 → Tap Respring
  • Incompatible: Open Sileo (or Saily) → Check the tweak's depiction/changelogs → Make sure it supports iOS 15 & XinaA15

What can I do if Sileo won't open?

  • Try rejailbreaking the device: Reboot → Open XinaA15 → Tap OpenJailbreak
  • Try reinstalling Sileo: Download Sileo x Xina from here

What can I do if the jailbreak is broken?

  • Try reinstalling the jailbreak environment: Reboot → Open XinaA15 → Go into Settings and enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment → Tap OpenJailbreak

Why did my tweaks disappear after a reboot?

This is because XinaA15 is a semi-untethered jailbreak. You must rejailbreak to regain your tweaks.

  • Rejailbreak: Open XinaA15 → Tap OpenJailbreak → Press OK when Process is about to be completed pops up. → Check Sileo.

Why does XinaA15 keep respringing randomly?

  • Try uninstalling any tweaks that you've recently installed, or tweaks that are used 24/7.
  • Try fixing the dylib: Open XinaA15 → Go into Settings → Tap Fixdylib → Wait till it says Tips: Repair of dylib completed!

Why does XinaA15 keep rebooting randomly?

This does not have a guaranteed fix as XinaA15 isn't the most stable jailbreak, however you can still try the fixes below.

  • Update to XinaA15 1.1.6.2 or later.
  • Remove recently installed tweaks: Open Sileo (or Saily) → Go to the "installed" section → Uninstall any tweaks you just or recently installed.

Why does XinaA15 respring & show colored Chinese text at the top?

  • You are currently in safe mode: Tap the text to respring back to normal mode.
  • If it goes back to safe mode: Open Sileo → Uninstall any tweaks you've recently installed.

Why does XinaA15 break rotation on my device?

Main cause(s) of this could be because: You used Ldrestart, XinaA15 automatically did a Ldrestart, or you need to update XinaA15.

  • Update XinaA15: Follow the update guide from here
  • Try rebooting: Restart your phone → Open XinaA15 → Tap OpenJailbreak to re-jailbreak.

Why does XinaA15 get stuck when jailbreaking?

Unsure for what the reason for this is, however the fix is quite simple.

  • Try rebooting: Reboot your phone → Open XinaA15 → Try jailbreaking again
  • Try reopening: Fully close XinaA15 in the app switcher → Reopen XinaA15 → Try jailbreaking again

What do I do if I get "error 522" in Sileo?

  • Clear Sileo's cache: Open Sileo → Settings → Tap Cache Size → Press OK to Clear
  • Try resetting your device's settings: Open Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset All Settings

Why can't I log into my accounts in Sileo?

  • Install Sileo: Xina Beta from here

Using Sileo: Xina Beta 4 (or higher), why can't I get the Filza dependencies from the Procursus repo?

In the new versions of Sileo: Xina, they disabled installing or removing packages from the Proscurus repo, and they have removed the Proscurus repo.

TrollStore downgraded to 1.3.5, what do I do?

  • Update TrollStore through the app: Open TrollStore → Tap Update TrollStore to x.x.x
  • Update TrollStore through the .tar files here

Using XinaA15 1.1.5 (or higher), the 35 packages won't all update, what do I do?

Don't update any of those packages when using version 1.1.5 or higher, this will break the jailbreak.

  • If you upgraded some of them already: Reboot → Open XinaA15 → Go into Settings and enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment → Tap OpenJailbreak

When adding repos, errors: "Could not find release file", "Didn't find architecture" appear.

  • Use a different repo/use the .deb of the tweak
  • Wait for the repo to update and support rootless targets.

When installing tweaks, I get the error "depends firmware"

  • Update XinaA15 to version: 1.1.4 or higher.
  • Update Sileo to the Nightly version or the Xina Beta.

When installing RocketBootstrap from apt.xina.vip, I get Failed with status 404

Why doesn't Sileo automatically respring or reboot the device?

  • **Install the Sileo: Nightly .deb through Filza from here.

When installing XinaA15 through TrollStore, the error "Install Error 173" pops up.

You are currently missing Idid on TrollStore, this can be simply installed however.

  • Install TrollStore 1.5.0 or later from here
  • Install Idid through TrollStore: Open TrollStore → Tap Settings → Tap Install Idid

Installing a tweak on Sileo I get the error "An unknown error occured... Problem with /var/.../lists/unclutter.anamy.gay"

When you have the unclutter.anamy.gay repo, have something installed from it, and refresh it with no internet, installing anything will break. You can fix this by:

  • Remove the repo or/and re-add it: Go to Sources → Tap Edit → Remove the RepoUnclutter Repo → Try installing your tweak again.

Turning off my phone after rejailbreaking makes my phone go black!

For some odd rare cases, if you rejailbreak your phone with XinaA15 and then go to turn off your phone right after, the screen goes black. Follow the fix below.

The latest XinaA15 app states that "your jailbreak environment is lower than the latest version"

This happens when you're updating from versions lower than 1.1.7/latest, and because of that it'll state that you need to reinstall the environment.

  • Enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment and re-jailbreak: Open XinaA15 → Tap the Gear icon (Settings) → Toggle Reinstall the jailbreak environment → Exit back to the main page → Tap OpenJailbreak

After installing a tweak that worked on a previous version of XinaA15, it freezes my phone after using it!

This is a rare occurence that can happen with tweaks like BigSurCenter and CCSupport.

  • Enable Safe Mode and Uninstall Your Tweak: Reboot → Open XinaA15 → Tap OpenJailbreak → Tap Cancel to enter Safe Mode → Uninstall your tweak → Tap ldrestart in the XinaA15 app to exit out of safe mode.
  • Reinstall the jailbreak environment: Reboot → Open XinaA15 → Tap the gear icon (Settings) and enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment → Tap OpenJailbreak → Tap OK after it finished.

Tapping Rebuild Icon Cache in TrollStore deleted my jailbreak apps!

This doesn't actually delete your apps, however it does make them disappear for a short period of time.

  • Rebuild Icons in Saily: Install & Open Saily → Tap the gear icon (Settings) → Scroll down and tap the arrow for Rebuild Icons
  • Reinstall the Apps: Open your package manager of choice → Find the missing apps → Reinstall the apps

Installing XinaA15 v1.1.7.1 is all just gray and full of "Button"

This is because the unicode bugged out when trying to read Chinese file names.

  • Reinstall the XinaA15 App: Open TrollStore → Tap XinaA15 → Tap "Uninstall App" and "Uninstall" → Re-download the XinaA15 IPA → Re-install XinaA15.
  • Rename The Files back to Normal:
  1. Download & Install Filza File Manager (TrollStore or Tweak Version)
  2. Navigate to /var/containers/Bundle/Application/XinaA15/XinaA12.app/Base.Iproj
  3. Rename the files back using the list below and this Reference Picture

  1. After renaming them all, fully close XinaA15 and then re-open it.
