Describe the bug
I'm not exactly sure how to describe this in detail other than the output just gets blasted when going through certain patches.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
0. Add a limiter after chowtape in your effects chain (Not necessary, but, don't blow your speakers)
Play some music and keep changing patches to the right until you get to "Phaser Like". When you go to the next patch, it has a stroke and the output goes up by about 40db. thank god I had a limiter on.
Expected behavior
Plugin does not damage eardrums
Screenshots
Here's a video. (I have a limiter on the end, and the overall volume is reduced so don't worry about it being loud. https://safe.fleepy.tv/files/l0rPn3BL.mp4
Desktop (please complete the following information):
OS: Windows 10
DAW Ableton Live
Version 2.11.1
64bit
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
funk that 1987 : jumps at least at +40dBFS, high pitches, stops when turning the tape processing off
warehouse 1997 : jumps at least at +40dBFS, low fart sounds, stops when turning the tape processing off
disintegrated memories : sometimes hard peak at +40dBFS minimum, then goes back to normal
chew loss : sometimes hard peak at +40dBFS minimum, then goes back to normal
Also by gathering info about this issue i successfully put the plugin in a state where whatever preset is chosen results in the plugin farting all around +40dBFS at least. You can stop the issue by bypassing the tape processing but enabling it again resumes the fart noises.
It seems that the previous preset sometimes triggers the issue. I discovered that by changing preset with Ardour's menu instead of the included preset navigator ; the presets are not in the same order.
