Request

I would like that the 'Social preview' image was available in the metadata scrape.

Why

It would be useful for me as I would like to generate an 'opengraph' preview for my site. I have looked at the gh api but as far as I am aware this does provide such data.

What I have tried

Operating an XMLHttpRequest in Javascript on the appropriate repo URL in order to get back the opengraph meta attributes, but GitHub denies this because of CORS (I don't understand CORS very well so I don't really know how to circumvent this). If this is possible another way I would be interested to know

What would be useful

The url to the 'Social image' for each repo is included in the generated .yml data on a built Jekyll site.

If it is already included I am not aware because as far as I am aware browsing the data is not really feasible and it is only visible when the site is built.
