Very frustrated with Joycond-Cemuhook/Joycond, now unable to get steam to detect Switch Pro Controller and buttons are flipped for other games #91

Hey, so I have an issue where even if Joycond-Cemuhook isn't open, steam won't identify the Switch Pro controller, and I have 0 input in games. In some games, it won't even get detected at all. I don't know what to do and I've been searching for hours with no answer from anywhere.
I'm getting very desperate at trying to get an answer, I'm on Fedora 39 and have not yet found a solution.

joycond's udev rules prevent steam from directly talking to the pro controller using hidraw. Try this:

Instead of pressing both triggers to "pair" with joycond, press the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously. That'll create a virtual controller which steam should be able to use.
