Problem Statement

Just started using the app. Love the simplicity. But came across an issue : While you can reorder and hide projets (despite not being able to archive them, but that's for another day !), you cant reorder tags ! But well, using GTD, I have next, waiting and delegated tags. But I also have a lot of context tags such as "compurer", "home", "transports" and so on.

I need to be able to sort them, and for them to disappear from the sidebar if no tasks is found using them.

❔ Possible Solution

Allowing to activate or not :

  • Sort automatically by number of task having the tag (ascending or descending)
  • Sort manually like projects
  • Don't show tags in the sidebar if there is no tasks with the tag

⤴️ Describe alternatives you've considered

I thought about different ideas above.

➕ Additional context

Not really, but it would definitely help setting up a GTD workflow with a focus on what matter today. Which is really important I think. This app is perfect in terms of focusing to what matters now, but not so good yet at organizing future and soon to do things in my opinion by the lack of possibilities using tags 💪

Thanks for the good work anyway and I hope someone will be able to help me out !

Thank you very much for opening up this issue! I am currently a bit overwhelmed by the many requests that arrive each week, so please forgive me, if I fail to respond personally. I am still very likely to at least skim read your request and I'll probably try to fix all (real) bugs if possible and I will likely review every single PR being made (please, give me a heads up if you intent to do so) and I will try to work on popular requests (please upvote via thumbs up on the original issue) whenever possible, but trying to respond to every single issue over the last years has been kind of draining and I need to adjust my approach for this project to remain fun for me and to make any progress with actually coding new stuff. Thanks for your understanding!
