I would like to use HTML in my email templates for notifications I'm sending out, is this an easy patch?

I looked at this quickly, since I would like this as well, but couldn't find out how to fix it. Could we get a hint on how to fix this?

I made a really dirty hack to make this work by modifying the mailer app that notifications uses.
Paste below, you also need to import mailAlternatives.
