Test fails on non-Intel architectures: Failure ('test_raw.R:31:3'): Making sure the 'char' matrix behaves like signed byt #115

Hi,
after packaging version 4.6.4 one test of the Debian packaged bigmemory is failing on all non-Intel architectures. You can see all failed architectures marked red on our tracker page. If you follow those links you find according log files showing:

── Failure ('test_raw.R:31:3'): Making sure the 'char' matrix behaves like signed byte ──
 mchar[1:3, 1] not equal to c(40, -123, NA).
 2/3 mismatches (average diff: NaN)
 [2]  NA - -123 == NA
 [3] 190 -   NA == NA
