I cant get this app to work

When i insert http://localhost:3000/admin/products and http://localhost:3000/admin/sites, i get the below error,

NoMethodError in Admin/productsController#index undefined method `self_and_descendants' for nil:NilClass

I have migrated the database successfully and i am at complete stand still, please help a hard working novice, running spree 0.10.0 have tried spree 0.11.0, no luck, am I missing something in the setup thanks brian.

This was built back in the .9x series of Spree releases. I doubt it will work with the newer ones.
