and setting the following in the buildozer.spec:

@Tungsteno74 When I wrote this error I only tried Python 3.x, but just now I tried with python2.7 -m buildozer android_new debug deploy run. Same result.
If I replace android_new with android it works, so it's about the new toolchain.
