New Bookworm OS for Raspberry Pi is Wayland instead of Xorg.
To be honest, I haven't inspected the code. Is it as simple as setting a variable to wayland instead of Xorg?

i also tryed it on my RPi5 , but dont get it running
Sorry, something went wrong.
using Raspi-config you can change from Wayland to X, run the install, then change back.
I haven't looked at the code yet, but I think a lot of the errors are due to the way that the info boxes are being displayed during the run.
**Edited to add... the issue is related to YAD in wayland **
