Trying to move a window from one space to another with skhd shortcuts no longer works properly as it simply sends the window back to the original space instead of placing it in the new space

Same issue with yabai rule using space=n.
yabai-v7.1.2
SIP partially disabled.

With yabai -Vand the rule yabai -m rule --add app="^Signal$" space=2:
If i'm in space 1 with iterm2 and launching signal with spotlight, Signal doesn't move to space 2, stays in space 1.

EVENT_HANDLER_APPLICATION_LAUNCHED: Signal (32545) is not finished launching, subscribing to finishedLaunching changes
-[workspace_context observeValueForKeyPath:ofObject:change:context:]: Signal (32545) finished launching
EVENT_HANDLER_APPLICATION_LAUNCHED: Signal (32545)
EVENT_HANDLER_APPLICATION_FRONT_SWITCHED: Signal (32545)
window_manager_create_and_add_window:727 Signal - Signal (AXWindow:AXStandardWindow:1)
EVENT_HANDLER_APPLICATION_FRONT_SWITCHED: iTerm2 (2211)

Moving windows to other spaces works good for me on Sequoia using the latest HEAD and having partially disabled SIP as per wiki. (on apple silicon)

I tried using the newly released version 7.1.3 of Yabai, but the issue with moving windows to another space still persists. The window just returns to the original space, and I’m unable to get the move window functionality to work properly, even with SIP partially disabled. Has anyone had better success with this version, or is this still a known issue?

run these commands and try moving your windows to other spaces:

killall Dock
sudo yabai --load-sa

Hum... It works for me... until I reboot...

I'm running the head release, with a completely clean install and have the same problem.

Moving to a different space makes the window disappear, however its still in the same space hidden like it got minimized.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue! If anyone has any advice on how to solve this, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I was able to fix this just today.

Firstly, make sure you are using the head of Yabai, and that you have SIP partially disabled as per the guide.

Next, make sure that, once you boot into your machine, terminal and type sudo nvram boot-args=-arm64e_preview_abi

Completely reboot your machine, and from there, when you start Yabai, try doing sudo yabai --load-sa, if that works with no errors and your ability to move to spaces works again like mine did, simply add that to the yabairc file at the top, but make sure that yabai is configured as a sudoer as per the install guide!

It is all working now :)

It works. However, yabai responds slowly to all commands. For example, when I move a window to another space, it will take 3 seconds to respond. I am using a MacBook Pro with an M1 Pro chip.

Previously moving to other space worked without disabling SIP, but that isn't working now. I get the same issue of the window disappearing and then reappearing in the same space.

Thank you so much for your step-by-step suggestions! I’ve successfully fixed the issue thanks to your guidance. I also realized that this problem was discussed in a previous issue, #2380 , which might be helpful for reference.

Yes, it's working now. Thank you. I completely missed that setting.

Hi guys, I'm thinking on updating to sequoia 15.0. I use yabai mainly for switching spaces quickly and sending windows to other spaces. Is everything working, or should I wait a little more before updating?

It works for me, you have to do this : https://github.com/koekeishiya/yabai/wiki/Installing-yabai-(latest-release)#configure-scripting-addition
