The infrastructure is in place for e-mails to be sent to all scouts, admins, etc. However, at present e-mails are only sent to scouts to complete the signup process.

Some ideas for e-mail notifications:

  • alert scouts when a site has been assigned to them
  • scouts report special site complications to admins
  • periodic summaries of condition reports sent to admins
  • periodic summaries sent to other users, such as state park accounts, etc.

  • reminder to reset password every 6 months to land managers (doesn't reset, just reminds)
  • deactivate warning if scouts haven't signed in recently
