Overview

After looking through multiple options including AWS OpenSearch Serverless, which is potentially complicated has a minimum cost of ~$106/month (as of July 2nd, 2023, configured with t2.small.search and minimum storage) as well as other 3rd party managed services, we concluded that the only free-ish possibility was both simpler and potentially free to cheap for limited use was FlexSearch enabled with Lambda and Persistent EFS
