Hi,

This isn't a bug or issue per se but I wanted to ask if transcode-video is oriented around animated movies at all, or would it be better to use Handbrake settings for this sort of thing?

@tylercheung It doesn't really matter whether content is animated or not as far as the transcode-video tool is concerned. And, to be honest, the HandBrake presets don't always deliver the best quality.

However, you might get better and smaller results using my newer other-transcode tool which is built around ffmpeg instead of HandBrakeCLI. You can find it here:

Ah - thanks! In my lay understanding, I had shied away from hardware encoders because of what I read that they were inferior in quality to the best software ones, i.e. x264, but if you've found the "proper" way to utilize them I will give them a try!
