Combining Illumina and Nanopore reads

Hi!

In our group we sequenced a metagenome using both Illumina and Nanopore. Our idea was to have enough short reads to get a good assembly and some long reads to use to improve it. Does IDBA_UD support this kind of hybrid assembly? My idea was to use the “--read” option for the Illumina reads and the “--long_read” option for the Nanopore reads.
