Hello,
While using the oneOf models, I had to define the keys of each nested model as an optional one.
Ex:
new SimpleSchema({ metaData: { type: SimpleSchema.oneOf( { type: schemaWithAllOptionalFields1 }, { type: schemaWithAllOptionalFields2 } ), }, ...
It took me a while to realize. Could you update your documentation to include this?

Hi, is it possible to override/extends types provided by this package? I was using it before with @types/simpl-schema package and was able to override everything without issues. But since my upgrade to 3.0.1, nothing since to work.
I just wonder if it is possible after spending almost 4 hours trying to find a method how to augment the provided type.
As an example, I want to add my own pick function: sortedPick
I created a file called types in my project and added to the following:

declare module 'simpl-schema' {
  interface SimpleSchema {
    sortedPick(this: SimpleSchema, ...args: string[]): SimpleSchema;
  }
}

Any hint would be welcome.

Can you be more specific about how it doesn't work? How are you defining the override and what is the code that has a TS error?

Hi @aldeed the override is defined above. The issue was that SimpleSchema is a default export an does not allow direct override of its definitions if no name export is used export const SimpleSchema or export { SimpleSchema }.
So I used the default one as a trick to solve the issue.

declare module 'simpl-schema/dist/esm/SimpleSchema' {
  interface SimpleSchema {
    sortedPick(this: SimpleSchema, ...args: string[]): SimpleSchema;
    clean<T>(doc: T, options?: CleanOptions): T;
  }
}

Also it would be nice if the clean function could be typed as above, it keeps the types what is very usefull. And also make private poperties to be public?
sortedPick above uses this._schemaKeys and this._schema wish are both private properties and not available when extending using prototype: SimpleSchma.prototype.sortedPick = function...
