Use cases

A lot of use cases, ranging from math, design, ...
I developed this design, though I don't know if it follows the rule book, it was a bit hard to get the sizes as positisions right...
Anyway, will leave it here just in case it is useful.

I don't think it's against the guidelines, but I think it should be.

I feel like typography only icons are a bit out of scope.

I think this has completely valid use cases that aren't at all specific to typography, e.g.:

  • to indicate precision (number of decimals in spreadsheet and text editor UIs)
  • to symbolize version numbers
  • decimal rounding option for Lucide Studio (😉)
  • to signify text inputs that accept decimals as opposed to integers
  • to represent a floating number data type
