Hello! I am not one of your students but merely stumbled upon your quick reference PDF when searching online for quick reference PDFs for Scala (which I'm about to learn). Your quick reference looks wonderful, one of the best quick references I've ever seen probably! Good job on that and much appreciation for making it publicly available!

The version I have though (2024-08-20) has a likely typo though. Notice basicstyleody in the following excerpt:

Object basicstyleody can contain definitions of members such as def, val, etc.

Did you mean to write Object Name can contain... perhaps?

Anyway, have a wonderful day/night/etc!

Many thanks! This is some kind of copypastelatexsyntax-bug I guess :) Will fix soon.

Note to myself: you need to make an errata on this as it has been printed already...

@WraithGlade Do you think its worth it to break out the quickref to its own repo?

Perhaps so, since it is such a useful document and seemed like the best Scala quick ref I could find.

Mentioning the document and placing it somewhere the community frequents such as the main site (if you could get them to list it at all, considering that is probably the hardest place to get it listed) or a Scala associated community forum might help increase awareness of it.

I'm not a Scala developer though, since I only started with it within the past few days, so I'm not really any authority on these matters. I do think a lot of people could benefit from it, especially considering the language apparently has a reputation for having a learning curve and hence a need for better ease of remembering that a quick ref provides.

Anyway, have an awesome day/night!

now I'll have to fix an errata on the homepage as well...

@WraithGlade Thanks again for your positive feedback!! I'll consider breaking it out to its own repo after things have calmed down...
