Describe your issue

I noticed that i cannot use the latest versions of micromamba (2.0.0rc5) due to timeout downloading packages. I have been trying micromamba 2.0.0rc5 but compared to 1.5.9 it keeps timing out (works on 1.5.9 with no problems).

Either this timeout is badly calculated (my internet is quite fast) or the antivirus tends to pause the transmission to examine files and that causes a timeout on this latest version (this has been a problem in the past). Would be nice to at least have a way to disable this otherwise with bad internet or bad antivirus micromamba becomes impossible to use.

critical libmamba Download error (28) Timeout was reached [https://conda.anaconda.org/conda-forge/win-64/cmake-3.29.6-h400e5d1_0.conda]
Operation too slow. Less than 30 bytes/sec transferred the last 60 seconds

Tried many times and always happens on different packages and at different points int he download

Hi @bertaveira,

  • Has micromamba 2.0 solved the issue?
  • Have you tried to the remote_connect_timeout_secs from the configuration?
  • Can you provide the environment you are using so that we can try to reproduce?
