Notification "mention only" only looks @ localpart

When in a group chat notifications are set to "mention only" it only looks at the localpart.

@localpart:homeserver

Example:
When two (or probably more) people in a group chat have the same localpart but are on a different homeserver, and one of them gets @mentiond they both(all) receive a notification.

I don't know whether it is the same issue. I've chosen michael as my local part on my own server. michael seems to be a quite common name. Now I am flooded with notifications :(
