Swiping up/down middle and middle-left doesn't always work.

As far as I can tell scrolling doesn't work at all on iOS.

Oh ok, what's going on is that even though the sidebar is hidden, it's still intercepting pointer events. So setting pointer-events to none while the sidebar is hidden should re-enable scrolling.
