If you use the WiFi menubar menu to "Create Network..." then discovering Bonjour advertisements appears to be hit or miss when trying to connect to local simulator, and usually miss. Unlike #92 cycling the app in the simulator doesn't get you out of "Searching for devices ...". This is on OS X 10.10.3
