ImageResizer/PowerRename launches only on the primary monitor on a multi-monitor setup #1096
Comments
PowerRename has same issue. |
I'm not facing this issue with PowerRename on the current version that's in the master branch. PowerRename launches on the same monitor where I right click for me. |
@arjunbalgovind, just retried this, Rename launches on primary monitor on at least the current MSIX build. |
Yes, I've noticed this on the MSIX build as well. I think it doesn't happen for the MSI. |
@arjunbalgovind it does as well :) |
Surprisingly, when it is launched on the primary monitor it appears on the foreground for me. (If the right-click wasn't on the prim monitor). |
Resolved for ImageResizer with #1452 |
adding in fixed commited tag then |
wait, did we fix PowerRename @arjunbalgovind ? |
No, its only been fixed in ImageResizer as of now. |
lemme remove that awesome tag :) |
Looks like for ImageResizer this issue existed for both MSI/MSIX and now its fixed for both. For PowerRename this seems to be an MSIX specific bug. It opens on the correct monitor for the MSI installation. |
Let’s do that. |
ImageResizer always launches on the primary monitor even if the right click menu is opened on another monitor.
Environment
Steps to reproduce
Open the right-click context menu on a file in a secondary monitor.
Expected behavior
The ImageResizer app should open on the same monitor.
Actual behavior
The ImageResizer app opens on the primary monitor.
