Environment

Windows build number: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18363.752]
PowerToys version: 0.16.1
PowerToy module for which you are reporting the bug (if applicable):

Expected behavior

An icon in the system tray should appear.

Actual behavior

I have the same issue as described in #268.

Reinstalling, rebooting and all other procedures discribed in #268 have been done - no effect.

Power Toys are running with two tasks:

Also not knowing how to access PowerToys-Settings without the icon.

The icon is not hidden. It is simply not present in the system tray. It also does not appear in the Windows settings regarding taskbar and "symbols showing in the taskbar".

this is a very old issue, does this still happen with 0.20.1 or newer builds?

@Korb, please create a new issue. This is a very old issue as it directly referenced v0.16 as we're on 0.59

What i find interesting is your icon isn't showing in the notification screen

This issue has been directly referenced since at least v0.16 but still isn't resolved. Why is it closed? What about those of us who never used TaskbarX?

@BitGrub if you're having this issue, please file a new issue so we can get updated logs. We now have better logs with our reporting system but devil is in details for possibly why something isn't showing up. (build of windows, user stuff is running as vs installed as ...)
