This issue also applies to the Steam Desktop App and the Wallpaper Engine Settings/Wallpaper Selection Window.

As seen below, both were active and visible before capturing the workspace but neither of them show up in the workspace.

I also believe it should only open apps from the list that are not currently running, to avoid duplicates. Also, if apps already opened, just reorganize them to the correct position. Thanks.

Yes, or worse. For example, with Firefox, you can end up with an extra empty window if it's launched again. When Firefox is closed, if that empty window closes last, you can lose your tabs from the other window.

I noticed for myself a correlation of workspaces not picking up on apps that lacked the snap layout on hover of the windows maximize icon. Workspaces were working 100% for the apps that did have the snap layout option on hover. Not sure if relevant just my observation.

Thunderbird has snap layouts on max icon hover, so probably just coincidence in your experience

Hello devs. Just tested the latest update and still no luck with ElectronIM, doesn't show up on the workspace. Thanks.

There are still a lot of apps on this thread that are not detected when using the new 0.84.1 build - this was expected by our team. We will do our best to investigate each issue but for those that are willing, please test the app you are experiencing issues with on the new 0.84.1 build and if it still is not detected, open up a new issue with the title "Workspaces does not detect <app_name>".

In the coming days we will close this issue out (since Discord and many others are resolved so far) so that we are not tracking different technical issues in this thread.

Issue author reporting that version 0.84.1 has solved the Discord issue. Thank you for the support!

There are also some great ideas here, alongside addressing several other apps that weren’t working, but I agree that the original problem of the issue was solved.

@speedlorenzo12 please verify that you are seeing these issues on 0.84.1, not 0.84.0. If they are still reproducible in that build, please file a new issue. Thanks!

0.84.1 don't solve the problem with Discord window app for me, always not detected :(
