Bug Command Ubuntu Systemctl new version WSL #10857

Are you using WSL 1 or WSL 2?

Hello, I have a problem with WSL in version 1 and version 2.
first problem is, when you want to activate systemctl in wsl, it has been done with the same tutorial but systemctl still cannot be used.

The second problem is, when using the wsl2 version all ubuntu distro do not get an internet connection. and when downgraded to wsl1 all distros can get an internet connection.

Repro Steps

I made modifications and wsl updates but there is still a problem

Thanks @ekawibisono. I'm not seeing any WSL logs in the file you shared. Can you reproduce the issue while the log collection script is running ?

The following is an image when using Ubuntu 20.04 systemctl can but does not get an internet connection, even though the internet connection is running

You can use WPA to see ETL logs

I am still not seeing any WSL logs in the logs you shared. Can you try to:

  • Stop wsl with wsl --shutdown
  • Start log collection
  • Reproduce the issue
  • Stop log collection

We'd need to see logs from WSL's boot to root cause the issue.

This problem has been solved, suddenly I can run systemctl by myself and the internet connection is connected.
