Any GUI app. xfe gives the message. So do many other GUI apps. Some other GUI apps just hang with no message.

Set-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process -Force
.\collect-wsl-logs.ps1

The script will output the path of the log file once done.

Once completed please upload the output files to this Github issue.

problem solved with "sudo do-release-upgrade"
