What is displaying that green text? I've never seen this message except in the context of hover text, but the text in the screen shot doesn't look like it's part of a hover tooltip box.

Hm, if that extension is surfacing diagnostics without considering diagnostics that aren't supposed to be shown, then I would file an issue on their tracker to ignore them. Otherwise you're going to get these for dead code, unused imports, etc.

Ah, that explains it. This appears to be a bug in Error Lens extension. Pylance is reporting this as a "Hint" diagnostic with a tag that indicates it should not be displayed. It should not be interpreted or displayed as a visible diagnostic.
