We met with Yutang from App Service about this change on 9/16.

This change could impact VS Code in these ways:

If you folks have dependency or hard-coded our default hostname to always be “.azurewebsites.net”.

Creating Web App with a Unique Default Hostname

We should be able to add an on/off toggle like the portal until we're confident.
