Ability to drag-n-drop views to activity bar

Examples of views: integrated in vscode outline(now experimental) or views from extensions (like GitLens).

If the extension or view doesn't have an icon it should show something generic (or First letter?).

I'm not sure whether my feature request would be an extension of this or a separate feature request.

That said, I'd like the ability to drag this view into a split view window, so that I can see it on the right-hand side of my screen. I have widescreen monitors that are begging for this feature. Currently, I use the "Symbols Treeview" extension that does this.

I would love this implementation of it to reduce my need for the somewhat buggy version I currently use.

I guess it was done as a part of some other issue. This one, perhaps #93786.
