Let's say we have a multi-root workspace:

When one of the root folders is very deep (long after expansion), it becomes very difficult to navigate to other roots. I know we can collapse all the roots and then select the root we want, but it's hard to navigate back to the previous folder, as the its root has been collapsed as well.

If we could have a root navigator, it'll be much easier for us to switch back and forth among roots/folders. Or even better if we can add some sub-folders as favorites to the navigator.
