Add tags to image itself

Is there any way to do this? I don't want the json file, i want the info saved on the file itself.

Not unless you find yourself an image format that supports adding tags, perhaps then (and if!) you can add a post-processor to merge the tags into it. Though I personally don't know of any such format.
