Try to get the emoji below in emoji mart

https://emojipedia.org/transgender-symbol

When will emoji mart support the new emoji version?

Emoji 13 has been included in our data source provider a few days ago (https://github.com/iamcal/emoji-data/blob/master/CHANGES.md). We should be able to update that dependency and have the new emojis.

I was trying to do some help and make a PR.
I forked the repo, update the latest emoji-data to v6.0.0, and run it locally. I got the new emoji. But there is something wrong with the visuals:

Tests are all green.

Is there any other library that needs updates too or something wrong with the build?

Should emojilib updated too? I'm not sure what emojilib is used for in emoji-mart but it seems it doesn't have version 13 emoji in this list https://github.com/muan/emojilib/blob/master/emojis.json

Ah, actually Emoji 13 is still widely unsupported: https://emojipedia.org/emoji-13.0. Both Chrome and Safari latest version don’t support any of these yet. Even iOS doesn’t support them yet (iOS 14.2 hasn’t been released).

Even if the data is known, it usually takes a little longer before browsers support new emoji versions.

A little up on this issue for transgender day of visibility
The latest version of emojilib seems to have support for emoji 13. However the update to emojilib contains breaking changes so it's not just a matter of updating.

Any news here? In the meantime, the Unicode consortium has released Unicode/Emoji v14.0 already, and v15 is to be released at the end of this year (2022).

emoji-mart now also supports Emoji v14 already: https://github.com/iamcal/emoji-data/blob/master/CHANGES.md#2022-03-15--v1400

v5.0.0 has been released and the emoji version is now 14.

Apologies in advance for the lack of documentation. There are some breaking changes, but depending on your usage it shouldn’t be too different than before.
