Since hook_doi_datacite_json_alter() allows third party modules to create the JSON submitted to DataCite, implementors might not want to show the DataCite-specific form elements on the node add/edit form at all. Currently, those elements are required.

In fact, this module should probably offer a hook to create (not just alter) the Datacite metadata.
