Allow downloading files like ´jsshell-win32.zip´

We should allow for files like ´jsshell-win32.zip´ to be downloaded, as well (paraphrased)

i would like to help
there will be many possible extensions which one needs to be familiar with
can you provide some pointer that where i start from
i have read the scraper file in mozdownload and i quite understood what it does
it works on the locale and file system names ,so for downloading a file like "jsshell-win32.zip"
we need to create a method specially for that kind of file formats
can you provide me some knowledge it'll be helpful for me .
Also which irc you people are present on
