Comparing features and use cases with other tools #1243

@TomLucidor Based on my understanding, it seems that all of these tools are essentially about creating a local chat room on your computer. However, LocalAI serves as a backend for such applications to run on, but it doesn't provide a frontend interface; setting up the frontend is the responsibility of the end user. For example, if you were to develop an application (making you the end user in this scenario), you could host it on a local server and have your application utilize a queue to send requests to the server, rather than directly to OpenAI. In contrast, these other applications appear to be all-in-one solutions, where you are tightly bound to their provided tools. I appreciate the concept of tree thinking in one of them, but unfortunately, I can't use that on the PrivateGPT application. |
