Migrate test project from Nightwatch API to Nightwatch V2

I want to create a thread to discuss migration test projects from Nightwatch API to native Nightwatch.js.

Nightwatch API provides an out of box way for us to use Cucumber.js with Nightwatch.js, which many users use. However, I think it's time to migrate it back to Native Nightwatch.js for the below reasons:

• Nightwatch.js V2 brings integrated support for using Cucumber.js directly as an alternative test runner.
• Using Nightwatch API means extra learning curve and maintenance work.
• Nightwatch API is not actively maintained anymore, as I see. The last release V3.0.1 is about two years ago(Nov 2019).

I am looking at the migration work for my project now, but I still see some limitations currently Nightwatch.js V2 Cucumber.js integration has. Like #2962.

If anyone like me has the exact situation, please discuss it here to make the migration smooth.

That's an excellent plan if I may say so and we're very keen on helping these efforts. The new additions you've requested in #2962 should also land in a future beta version, before the public v2 release. However, as far as I know, when using the nightwatch-api package you need to use the cucumber-js runner itself, which is a different scenario and should also be possible in v2 using the new programmatic api available. Maybe this can be a shorter migration route? It is also what we are doing in Nightwatch – adding a wrapper on top of the cucumber cli and abstracting it away. But if you are already using the cucumber cli maybe this would be easier in terms of migration efforts?

Yeah, this looks good. I can send a PR with some suggestions on how to improve it after the winter break. Would you be interested in having this repo under the https://github.com/nightwatchjs-community organization?
