I'm a member of program committee HolyJS 2020 Piter conference.
HolyJS and PiterJS (our Saint Petersburg JS community) would like to organize Code & Learn workshop at dates before or after the conference free for anybody.
Russian community is really interesting in Node.js (we have a lot of requests for Node.js topics for the conference) and I think that Code & Learning in Saint Petersburg will be wonderful for community.
Due to the escalating COVID-19 situation, the Russian government has put on hold all events that plan to accommodate more than 1000 people in Saint Petersburg. This limit is expected to come down to 100 in the following weeks. Keeping this in mind, HolyJS has been delayed and the new dates would be confirmed by the end of the week. Since the event is tied so closely to the conference, we have planned to shift the event to remain adjacent to the conference. We'll keep everyone posted about the exact dates.
Instead of doing face-to-face events, can we put the same energy into virtual events like webcasts, live streaming, pair programming via video conference / vs code live share, etc. Now is a bad time to be having face-to-face events.
