Is this project affected by Edge’s move to Chromium?

Will Chakra still be developed after Edge has moved to Chromium? https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2018/12/06/microsoft-edge-making-the-web-better-through-more-open-source-collaboration/

Will the news mean that Microsoft will move to V8 and that there will no longer be anyone to push for a Chakra based Node.js?

Hey guys. We have a statement w.r.t. the future of ChakraCore chakra-core/ChakraCore#5865. Our plan for Node-ChakraCore is similar to ChakraCore that we will continue working with Node to release Node-ChakraCore builds.
