src: make minor improvements to SecureBuffer

Remove an unnecessary static_cast<char*>().

Use OPENSSL_secure_zalloc() instead of OPENSSL_secure_malloc() +
memset().

Update the comment describing the function which predates support for
OpenSSL's secure heap.
