Currently, it is not possible to merge messages from the vueI18n.messages option with the messages from a lang file, as those messages are being replaced entirely.

Now that Nuxt 3 has added a new extends feature, it would be very useful to be able to set "default" locale messages from within a "theme", yet still allow a user to customize those messages in their own locale folder.
