Thank you very much for your interest in our work!
During the collection of the OakInk1 and OakInk2 datasets, we used the D435 camera with a frame rate of 30 FPS instead of 90 FPS for two main reasons:
Subjects often performed actions slowly, resulting in high frame-to-frame redundancy, which negated the need for a higher FPS.
When multiple RealSense cameras are connected to the same machine at high frame rates, noticeable frame loss can occur, leading to asynchronous observations between cameras at identical timestamps. We found that reducing the FPS alleviated this issue.
Meanwhile, we operated the OptiTrack system at a frequency of 120 Hz to ensure object tracking accuracy. In the released dataset, we aligned the 120 Hz pose frames with the 30 FPS image frames. Therefore, you can consider the overall dataset frequency to be 30 FPS.
Thanks for sharing your work!
What is the framerate of the OakInk dataset? I do not think it was mentioned. I noticed you use
Some clarification would be much appreciated!
