[cmd/mdatagen] documentation of attributes is limited

The documentation of metadata.yaml attributes is limited, and in a way that feels incorrect from an end-user perspective. The primary issue is that it lists the attribute key from metadata.yaml as the "name", with no reference to the "value" field that will actually be represented on the metrics observed by end users. It also does not list the enumerated values when relevant.
